A Red, Red Rose——红红的玫瑰
Robert Burns
O, my Luve's like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June.
O, my Luve's like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in Luve am I,
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry!
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun!
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only Luve!
And fare thee weel, a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
If the day is done, if birds sing no more, if the wind has flagged tired, then draw the veil of darkness thick upon me, even as thou hast wrapt the earth with the coverlet of sleep and tenderly closed the petals of the drooping lotus at dusk.
From the traveller, whose sack of provisions is empty before the voyage is ended, whose garment is torn and dust-laden, whose strength is exhausted, remove shame and poverty, and renew his life like a flower under the cover of thy kindly night.

Gillis Claeissens has been newly rediscovered through the Forgotten Masters exhibition in Bruges as an important portrait painter of the 16th century. He was court painter to the Archdukes Albert and Isabella and later created portraits of high Bruges society. This portrait, thought to be of Anne Joigny-de Pamele adorned in jewels, recently turned up in a private collection and was authenticated by the Museum Groeninghe in Bruges#艺术##收藏[超话]##约会博物馆[超话]#
