You don't need to be a sweet-talker or even a poet to prove that your love is true. Your actions will do it for you——真爱不需要通过花言巧语或吟诗作对去证明,行动才是最好的证明。

[Remembering Liang Sicheng] Sunday, January 9 marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of the renowned Chinese architect Liang Sicheng (1901-1972). Liang Sicheng was a son of the renowned educator Liang Qichao (1873-1929) and also the husband of the renowned poet Phyllis Lin Huiyin (1904-1955). The new book shown in picture 1 is titled "Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin: My Father and My Mother" (梁思成与林徽因:我的父亲母亲). It was published in October 2021 and purchased at the Ganjiakou Branch of Xinhua Bookstore in Beijing's Haidian District on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. That particular branch of Xinhua Bookstore mainly sells architecture-related books. This new book was orally narrated by Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin's 92-year-old daughter Liang Zaibing and written by Liang Zaibing's daughter Yu Kui. Picture 6: Dongbianmen (东便门); picture 7: Xibianmen (西便门); picture 8: Yongdingmen (永定门); picture 9: Deshengmen (德胜门).
What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music.... And people flock around the poet and say: 'Sing again soon' - that is, May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as before, for the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful.
It is modest of the nightingale not to require anyone to listen to it; but it is also proud of the nightingale not to care whether any one listens to it or not.
——Soren Kierkegaard
