This study directly compares conventional anaerobic digestion and Microbial Fuel Cell (as a typical BES reactor) during utilization of wastewater from industrial production of ethanol by fermentation.

Steinfeld Aldo and other researchers from the Federal Institute of technology in Zurich, Switzerland, reported on the production of fuel from sunlight and air. The researchers also implemented each step of the plan, demonstrated the operation of the whole thermochemical solar fuel production chain, from H2O and CO2 captured directly from the ambient air to the synthesis of transport fuels (such as methanol and kerosene), and used a modular 5kW pilot scale solar energy system to operate under actual field conditions. https://t.cn/RTv4Kyo
