【中国植物游:蕺菜】Houttuynia cordata is a herbaceous perennial plant which has heart-shaped leaves and a tail-like rhizome. It gets its nickname "fish mint" because it has a special "fishy" taste. Fish mint is a flowering plant commonly found in Southeast Asia. It was first described by a Swedish naturalist Carl Peter Thunberg. The material he collected was from Japan and has an orange scent, while the Chinese type has the smell of raw fish. The plant prefers moist or wet land, can grow up to one meter tall, and is hard to eradicate from the garden. Its flowering time is April-July and it has greenish-yellow color. #2019北京世园会# For more: https://t.cn/AiR41lAM

【“为什么喜欢蔷薇?”“因为它有刺。”——古龙 】The rose is one of the most famous and beloved of all flowers. As William Shakespeare once wrote, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” Ornamental roses have been cultivated for millennia, with the earliest cultivation known to date from at least 500 BC in Mediterranean countries, Persia, and China. Roses have inspired people over the ages to develop a language of roses by ascribing meanings to color, variety and number of roses being gifted. Traditionally, the rose is considered the flower of love. Nothing beats red roses in saying "I love you" on Valentine's Day. #2019北京世园会#
