Prostrating to Guru and the Triple Gem!
The intention to engage in any practices is soley for next life, which means one only wants to be free from the three lower realms in Samsara no matter what practices one does. Why does one only want to be free from the three lower realms? Because he or she has only identified the sufferings of the three lower realms while doesnot realise the sufferings of the three upper realms. One has not realized that there is no happiness in Samsara even as little as a needle-tip size, so one doesnot even want to attain Buddhahood. If we did our practice up to the supreme pith instructions of Dzogchen with such an intention, we would only attain the fruition of the upper realms, nothing else. Therefore, you need to turn inward to check your motivation before your practice, which is not a word from your mouth, but an involvement in your mind.

Let us have faith
Security is mostly a superstition.
It does not exist in nature,
nor do the children of men
as a whole experience it.
Avoiding danger is no safer
in the long run than outright exposure.
Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.
To keep our faces toward change
and behave like free spirits
the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.

Dao operates in accordance with natural conditions of all things. This idea first appeared in the book "Laozi," according to which "natural" means the natural state of things. Dao creates and nurtures everything, yet it does not command anything. In political philosophy, the relationship between Dao and natural things implies that between the ruler and the people. The rulers should follow the natural requirements of Dao, which places limits on their power, and govern by means of non-interference to allow the people and affairs to take their own natural course.
