This is a tough post but I wanted to do it. Today I attended the funeral of the great Mike Taylor. Mike was the guy who signed me 9 years ago when no one else gave me a chance… he sat there as I played be alright on the piano and he said “I said I was only going to sign an artist this year if they have the song, and that song is a hit” and it actually went onto become a hit, changing both of our lives, he went onto A&R 2 albums together with me. Mike gave me a chance when I was living with my grandma and had nothing and no one. He was an extremely passionate guy who would always answer my calls, be up late messaging me about drum sounds on our songs and giving me incredible advice. He was a genuine music guy who believed in me, and went to the ends of the earth to bring on teams around the world who shared his belief. I got an email out of the blue 3 days ago after he had passed, he asked me to go to Connecticut and to play a song of mine called “to have you today” at his “after party” after the funeral, I didn’t know why until I got there and realised it was his wife Jenny’s favourite song. That’s love. I feel really sad because it feels like yesterday I went into that room and showcased for him, and it’s been a big reminder that life moves fast and is being lived right now. I’m happy Mike lives on in his awesome look alike kid Charlie and his amazing wife Jenny. Thanks for everything Mike we did so much great stuff together and I’m eternally grateful.

It’s not a waste at all. Relaxing has a lot of benefits. One benefit is it relaxes(refreshes) our minds. For example, I take a ten-minute rest after every hour of studying. Looking away from my books reminds me I need to take care of myself as well. If I studied without stopping, I will become more irritated and unfocused. Another benefit is it lets our eyes rest. This is especially true if you study or work on your computer. If you stare at your screen for too long, you might damage your eyes, which in turn will make studying harder.
